Retrogrades

I am referring to 2012 as The Year of the Retrogrades because, with the exception of the Sun and Moon (of course!), every planet goes retrograde at least once. I will give you a monthly update on this, but for now, let's zoom in on Mars.

Mars rules passion, action and energy.. When it goes retrograde, which it will on January 23rd, life can feel as if it has come to a halt. We will see this in many areas: business, politics, personal relationships, etc. This is not the time to force issues, but to put them on pause and regroup. When Mars goes direct on April 14th, the world will leap forward with renewed energy.

Eclipses

We will have four eclipses this year: a solar eclipse in 0 Gemini on May 20th, a lunar eclipse in 14 Sagittarius on June 4th, another solar eclipse on November 13th in 22 Scorpio, and a final lunar eclipse on November 28th in 7 Gemini. An eclipse is like a cosmic kick in the butt that propels us forward. We "feel the effects" of an eclipse about a week before it occurs and for about 5-6 months afterward. However, eclipses are strongest 3-4 months after they occur. I will give you a more detailed picture when the eclipses occur.
